SUMMARY: Responsible for support bakery operations through the production of cookies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures all employees are treated consistently, fairly, ethically, and respectfully

• Prepares dough, based on prescribed recipes by accurately preparing and measuring ingredients, follows mixing instructions
• Inspect and check for quality of raw ingredients, dough, and cookies
• Follows daily baking schedule and time
• Plans and prepares special orders to meet deadlines
• Complete operation and basic maintenance of mixer, oven, scale, grinder, utensils, measuring tools, sinks, and faucets
• Follows all safety measures at all times to prevent injuries and contamination
• Follows all company, operation, and sanitation policies and procedures
• Maintains sanitation of baking area
• Washes and sanitizes all utensils, baking tools, tables and devices after every use
• Uses precautionary measures to preserve shelf life of perishable ingredients by first in, first out (FIFO) rotation, and stores in appropriate temperature/environment
• Prepares raw ingredients and materials for the next shift
• Follows opening procedure in the day shift and closing procedures for the evening shift
• Respects and supports management decisions
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma preferred
• Experience in manufacturing environment a plus

SKILLS:

• Represents the company brand image and share aloha to all customers, business partners, and co-workers at all levels throughout the company
• Able to understand and follow oral or written instructions
• Good communication skills
• Able to work with all levels of employees (co-workers and management)
• Able to see, read, and understand recipes and measurements
• Maintain high level of confidentiality on recipes and working technique

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Able to sit or stand and walk throughout the scheduled work shift
• Able to lift and or/move to 50 lbs. on continuous basis throughout the work day
