Mid-Sr. Backend Developer

Contract to Hire

Tampa, FL (Hybrid; On-Site 2x/month)

As the Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing software solutions for an enterprise-level Software Engineering Team. You will work to produce scalable, reusable, and reliable code in an Agile environment. You will join a team of passionate developers to explore cutting-edge technologies and push automation initiatives. The team utilizes a range of technologies including Java 8+, Spring Boot, IOC, AOP, SQL, CI/CD, Git, JavaScript, React, Big Data, RESTful APIs with Microservices, Maven, Hibernate ORM, Junit, and Swagger. In addition, they are currently undergoing a cloud migration so this would allow you to be trained and learn new technologies surrounding AWS!

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or relevant field

· 5+ Years’ Experience with Java and Spring Boot

· Strong understanding of RESTful APIs

· Strong understanding of source control- GIT

· Strong understanding of PostgreSQL

· Understanding of Agile methodologies

Responsibilities:

· Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, following an agile software development lifecycle process.

· Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable applications.

· Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.

· Research new technologies and maintain active knowledge of current industry application development trends, with a view to how these can be utilized in the environment.

· Document technical solutions and designs at level of detail suitable for enterprise architectural review, user training, and ongoing system maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with AWS

· Experience with Hadoop

· Experience with mobile development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
