Overview:

As an Audio Video/Video Teleconferencing Support Technician, you will support the management of meetings and event management by providing AV support, virtual communication support, presentation assistance, and equipment maintenance services. You will work with all levels of the organization at our global headquarters and will be part of a collaborative team of Technicians that has total responsibility for all aspects of on-site and remote conference room management, video-/web-conferencing virtual connections and AV end user technical assistance.


This position is on-site five days per week in our headquarters in Rolling Meadows, IL. Normal hours are Monday thru Friday during regular business hours however there may be occasions where flexibility into the early evenings is needed based on business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage, support and maintain all AV technology and virtual communications equipment across all Gallagher Branch offices and Corporate Headquarters. Ensure all Conference rooms are in good working order.
  • Be available and accessible on-site and or remote for in-room assistance to resolve any AV or IT problems that may arise during any virtual/videoconferencing, hybrid or onsite meeting.
  • Provide support for on-site Collaboration meetings on internal and external networks from the MS Teams videoconference gear/platform.
  • Assist with M365/Teams/Exchange integration and testing of equipment, and perform test calls or dry runs when requested.
  • Work, escalate and collaborate with third part AV/VTC support vendor on room and user support and or Equipment/hardware issues & repairs
  • Field service request tickets and incidents related to all AV/VTC conferencing via Remedy ticketing system.
  • Provide A/V/VTC conferencing support & assistance to Corporate and branch offices needs including customer support for audio-visual (A/V) technology hardware and software requirements, conference room reservations, room configuration set up and break down, presentation assistance, operational maintenance.
  • Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and end user training/usage documentation for VTC operations.
  • Provide training on new equipment for existing branches, new and remodeled facilities as required.
  • Provide AV support for on-site and off-site meetings and conferences
  • Ensure that all VIP calls are responded to immediately
  • Manage downloading/transferring software on equipment and maintain MS Team/MS patching and version levels across all Conference rooms/branches
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in the use of a variety of unified communications & collaboration platforms that includes, but not limited to; WebEx, Blue Jeans, Jabber, Zoom, Cisco Telepresence and MS teams (VTC) systems.
  • 4+ years of directly related experience in AV & VTC support
  • Familiar with industry standards-based video-conferencing and other AV and collaboration technologies and must be proficient with:
    • MS Team VTC systems

    • YeaLink Teams All-In-One Collaboration VTC
    • Yealink Wireless Presentation Pods and Microphones
    • Barco ClickShare Wireless Conferencing

    • Network Switches ; Cisco
    • HP Laptops
    • Mac Book Pro Laptops
  • MS Teams VTC Conferencing integration with Microsoft exchange and M365
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Potential for some infrequent travel to branch offices across the US
  • Maintain current training on the VTC equipment and provide customer training on new installations.
  • Understanding of basic networking highly preferred
  • Familiarity with Remedy ticketing system and AppSpace room reservation/scheduling platform preferred
