Automotive Service Writer
In need of a candidate with a positive and dependable attitude, will be responsible for handling customer sales, making recommendations to customers, creating invoices, and ordering parts.
Pay is based on experience.

Full service automotive repair facility - specializing in transmission service and repair.
Work Hours M-F 8:00 Am - 5:00 pm
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Meet and Greet customers and determine their needs for repair and/or service of their vehicle issues. Increase customer satisfaction by building customer relations. Maintain the company's standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness
- First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store
- Responsible for engaging customers, scheduling appointments, building trust, understanding needs, communicating processes and timelines, and selling parts and service that make the customer's car run at peak efficiency
- Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day. Keep customer informed on completion times, service expenses, and possible changes
- Increase profitability by maximizing sales
- Know the product well enough to answer characteristic and operational questions regarding the customer’s vehicle
- Perform vehicle walk around and documentation of customer concerns to enable the technician to properly diagnose and service the vehicle
- Prioritize required services and be prepared provide options upon request
- Under the direction of Management, assists in various aspects of customer care, work order and register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase (OP) ordering.
- Service Advisors remain involved with the delivery of the vehicle to customer upon completion to assure all customer concerns can be addressed
- Follow all policies and procedures related to cash, credit, check, refund and return policies. Works with the management team to react to customer service issues, customer complaints, and/or business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships (i.e., a “people person")
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently (Bilingual English/Spanish plus)
- Ability to concentrate and accomplish tasks despite interruptions *Multitasking skills
- Prior experience working with customers and providing an exceptional experience
- Sales including inside sales, outside sales, or retail sales is a plus
- Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software and internet proficiency
