PART-TIME HOURLY POSITION ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN THE LIBERAL ARTS AND SCIENCES

POSITION: Audio/Visual and IT Support Technician (Part-Time)

Description of Duties:

Provide audio/visual support for faculty and staff initiatives and events within the Liberal Arts & Sciences Division. Including, but not limited to, recording of the Not My Generation podcast, Great Debates Panel Discussions, division promotional videos and PSAs. Provide exceptional customer service and communication to both internal and external customers. Provide video editing and processing support for initiatives of the Liberal Arts & Sciences Division. Provide live-streaming support for Liberal Arts & Sciences events such as the Great Debates Panels, Constitution Day events, student presentations, etc. Under supervision of division dean and associate deans, coordinate with the Rose State College webmaster on changes to the Liberal Arts & Sciences Division webpages. Assist in troubleshooting minor IT problems in the Liberal Arts & Sciences Division. May require work on evenings and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prefer a minimum of one (1) years' experience working with audiovisual equipment. Good communication skills. Effective time management, interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficiency with computers, video editing and processing, operates and maintains audio and visual technology. This person troubleshoots equipment problems, installs a system(s), and links multiple pieces of hardware together. Audio-visual equipment and set-up. Work effectively with information management systems, and adapt quickly to system changes and updates. Analyze information and use logic to resolve issues and problems. Read and interpret instructions, drawings and/or diagrams. Prioritize and multi-task; must be organized and flexible to change course of work/projects as circumstances dictate. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all persons contacted in the course of work. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Continuously required to read computer screens and other system monitors; stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; hear and/or respond to verbal/audio cues; see and/or respond to visual cues and distinguish color; perform repetitive motions of hands and wrist; lift, push, pull and/or carry objects up to 10 pounds.

Desired Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years of experience operating audio and visual equipment, or any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the classification duties and responsibilities.

An unofficial degree conferring transcripts must be received by this office for formal consideration; however, should an offer of employment be extended, official transcripts are required.
