Scope of Role:

The Associate Vice President, Global Compliance Operations is a key member of the Office of Ethics and Compliance Leadership team and will lead a team of talented compliance professionals to provide compliance operations support and guidance to global and market business leaders.

The overarching goal of compliance operations is to enable a culture of ethics and compliance across the enterprise, by supporting compliance with legal, regulatory and policy requirements; remaining abreast of emerging trends and evolving our compliance operations and metrics; participating in industry associations; and working to ensure compliance remains a measurable competitive advantage for Organon.

The Associate Vice President, Global Compliance Operations will be an experienced and collaborative leader, with demonstrated business counseling competencies, a global, culturally sensitive perspective, and an innovative and practical approach.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Promoting a corporate culture that fosters ethical and compliant behavior and providing the basis to ensure adequate internal controls and compliance with all laws and regulatory requirements.

  • Overseeing and continuously improving our Company's compliance operations strategy.

  • Applying and sharing expertise in compliance operations; overseeing all compliance training and communications; proactive monitoring; compliance metrics and data analytics; conflicts of interest; third party due diligence; denied party screening; product sample management; US federal and state transparency reporting and disclosures; systems implementation and administration.

  • Demonstrating sound judgment, decision making, business acumen, and ability to set clear strategies with successful implementation.

  • Being innovative, results oriented, and decisive when faced with complex issues.

  • Consulting with business leaders to create innovative solutions which help our Company distinguish itself in the market.

  • Providing insights into trends in compliance operations to enable informed decisions about managing compliance risks.

  • Understanding the evolving digital technology landscape and partnering to develop strategies to enable innovative digital technologies.

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Advanced degree in business (MBA) or law, preferred.

  • Professional Ethics and Compliance Certifications, preferred.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in legal and/or compliance (or related roles) with global exposure, preferably in the healthcare industry.

  • Deep understanding of laws and regulations governing compliance in the healthcare industry, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), US Anti-Kickback Statute and US Federal and State transparency reporting requirements.

  • Extensive knowledge of compliance operations, systems, tools, and processes.

  • Leading a compliance operations program in a global, matrixed organization.

  • Effective leadership and people management experience.

  • Project, resource, and budget management, as well as prioritization.

  • Ability to design and lead innovative initiatives across multiple geographies and translated and simplify theory into practical solutions.

  • Thinking outside of the box mindset and self-starting attitude.

  • Ability to adapt to an evolving business and compliance landscape.

  • Experience in counseling senior level management on complex issues.

  • Clear, effective communication style and interpersonal skills.

  • Effective listening, judgment, problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
