Position Type: Associate Teacher - Great Start Readiness Program Date Posted: August 24, 2022 or until filled Date Available: Start of 2022-23 School Year SUMMARY The classroom associate teacher is responsible for working as a team member in providing a quality educational program for preschool children by supporting the classroom teacher in planning, assessing, and instructing students. The position includes assisting the classroom teacher in maintaining required records to ensure grant compliance and meet licensing guidelines. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE ● Associates Degree in Early Childhood education or child development or the equivalent; or a valid classroom CDA credential ● Experience working with preschool children SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS ● Works as a team member in providing a quality educational preschool program ● Assists in planning, implementing, and monitoring curriculum and assessment ● Supports children’s emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self--concepts ● Strong interpersonal skills with team and growth mindset focus ● Work with individual and small groups of students ● Collects and documents data regarding students progress ● Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the classroom teacher regarding student behavior and progress ● Participates in trainings and on-going professional development ● Must be able to maintain appropriate program and grant documentation ● Ability to speak clearly and concisely in written and oral communication ● Strong ability to multi-task and detail oriented ● Regular, reliable and punctual attendance is required ● Valid Driver License required ● Must be CPR and First Aid trained upon hire ● Perform other duties deemed necessary and appropriate as assigned BENEFITS/WORKING CONDITIONS Per GSRP Agreement, up to 177 days, grant funded position APPLICATION PROCESS Please send your resume and credentials to 2130 W U.S. 10., Scottville MI 49454
