Scope
An experienced Associate position is available in FVA Dispute Resolution Consulting practice. Associates in our FVA business play a key role on our engagement teams, which typically comprise at least one Managing Director/Director, Vice President, Associate, and one or more Financial Analysts. As an Associate in our Dispute Resolution practice, your primary activities will include oversight of Financial Analyst teams as well as constructing and reviewing valuation, lost profits/business damages, and other financial models; performing financial-statement, industry and other quantitative and qualitative assessments; designing and drafting deliverables; presenting analyses and conclusions internally to review committees; directing the efforts of Financial Analysts; and assisting with specific sales, marketing, and research initiatives.
Qualified candidates will have additional accountability for the development of project approach, oversight, methodologies, and analytical frameworks, and have incremental client visibility and responsibilities including business development.

Basic Qualifications

B.A./B.S./B.B.A./Masters in finance, accounting, business, or applied economics

4 - 7 years of relevant experience

A strong knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory, keen analytical capabilities

A strong knowledge of Excel

A fundamental understanding of financial valuation and lost profits theory, methodologies, and applications

Prior investment banking, finance and accounting, or similar relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications

Strong qualitative and quantitative research and analytical abilities

Estate and Gift Tax experience is a plus

Energy and mining dispute is a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience working in a Big Four environment in valuation/dispute practices or national litigation consulting firms

A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members

Exceptional work ethic
An officer-level opportunity may be considered for those candidates who have a proven record of sustained business development activities in addition to solid technical and management skills.
Salary Range
Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:
$95,000.00-$160,000.00
Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the service line and location where this position may be filled.
