We are looking for an experienced, creative and motivated individual to join our global media relations team. This global Associate Director role will be responsible for the support and development of global media strategy to develop Organon’s brand across executive thought leadership, research & development, corporate milestones and ESG in addition to women’s health unmet needs.

This will be a key role within Corporate Communications team, reporting to the global media relations director and working closely with Policy, Product and Investor Relations teams as well as many high-level executives to support business critical initiatives that impact the company’s reputation. This position reports to the Global Media Relations Director and will sit on the global communications team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Growing and maintaining Organon’s corporate and product reputation across media verticals.

  • Working with country and regional communications colleagues to develop and implement programs across key markets and regions in support of the global communications strategies; and helping to shape and convey Organon’s story and positioning alongside business development and R&D colleagues.

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Accomplished corporate communications professional with a minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, public relations agency or related field.

  • Experience in global media relations and development of editorial content, and a track record of working successfully and building relationships with media and other key external constituent, even during crisis.

  • Have relationships with mainstream media across broadcast, print and online, Women’s Health and financial contacts of particular importance.

  • Media and message training of executives at various skill levels.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a passion for storytelling.

  • Proven experience developing and driving successful corporate reputation and thought leadership initiatives.

  • Strong organizational skills and business acumen including prioritization, project management, budgeting, creative problem solving, attention to detail, and adherence to policies.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work within a team environment, and deliver results.

  • Ability to research, write, and edit content for Q&A documents, press releases, internal announcements, news articles, and other editorial content as needed.

  • Experience working with and managing public relations and other agencies/vendors.

  • Detailed understanding of prescription product/brand, regulatory, manufacturing, and pipeline communications.

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented self-starter with an innovative and resilient mindset.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in executive communication, corporate, and women’s health fields.

  • Strong understanding of the technical side of the healthcare business, including regulatory environments, pricing and access.

  • Superior interpersonal communications skills.

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; ability to persuade a wide variety of audiences.

  • Able to quickly learn the business and operate within a complex, fast-paced and changing environment.

  • Proficiency with web-based, digital communications and internal/external social media tools.

  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong ability to develop new, innovative ways to drive communications in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Strong experience operating within a matrixed, global corporate environment.
