Job Summary

This is a multi-level growth series position (Grade Level 24/25/26). The title, grade level and incentive target assigned to the successful candidate will be determined by assessing skills and related experience, learned through the interview process.

The "Business Support Coordinator" is a career path opportunity that encompasses a variety of job functions including business analytics, work coordination and distribution and can be responsible for providing direction to the Schedule and Dispatch Clerks assigned to the creation of customer project requests for new and relocated electric service installations and associated work, meter dispatch and field resources. This includes the administration, prioritization, and interaction with customers and their contractors along with coordinating with departments within Meter Services, Customer and T&D Operations, such as Collections, Scheduling and Design, Construction, Electric Service and Major Accounts to facilitate the timely completion of projects and internal field referrals.

Job Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for the quality control of data integrity, metrics, accuracy of customer and project information, call handling, scheduling, staffing and performance management. Reports pertaining to data analytics and process and operating reports will also be maintained, supporting LIPA OSA metrics, as well as individual and department scorecard development and management. The position should support department and cross-functional process projects that align with the overall strategy and continuous improvement objectives and develop new and existing programs to improve the customer experience.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree; in lieu of a degree, 5 years of analytical experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Must demonstrate relationship building skills
  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of work management practices and theory

Desired

  • Familiarity with work management systems, PCAD, SAS reporting, and CICS
  • Knowledge of SAP work management system
  • Utility and basic electric experience
