Associate Brand Manager - Brands+
Purpose:
The Associate Brand Manager will support the the Private Label Brand Management Team by providing research, analytics, project plans, PowerPoint development, leading brand meetings that align to deliver brand strategies, promoting brand growth and expansion, implementing brand plans, and using insights to drive volume and profitability. This role is highly cross functional – working with Insights, PDQA, Product Management, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Digital and Communications. This position will be the go-to person for the Brand Manager and help manage daily workflow and data for all aspects of the brand and products
Job Responsibilities:
Brand Building
  • Collaborate with brand leadership on execution of annual brand plans, identifying marketing, positioning and communication strategies that differentiate our brands from the competition.
  • Partner with brand engagement team to create integrated programs and partnerships to help support the brand execution at retail and digital
  • Develop and maintain internal and external presentation decks, including customer facing marketing materials and/or communications on the strategy, insights, and justification of our brands and new & existing items
  • Be the “Brand Steward” and ensure all products, communications, promotions, and initiatives align with the brand
Innovation
  • Support the development and execution of the product pipeline
  • Identify global insights, market trends, competitive activity and whitespace opportunities that deliver long term innovation pipeline as per pre-aligned innovation strategy
  • Lead cross-functional team in new item development including concept development, commercialization, forecasting, sales material creation, and performance analysis
  • Define and orchestrate go-to-market plans aligned with new product releases or marketing programs.
Business Analytics
  • Track sub-brand performance and analytics in partnership with finance via monthly scorecards and brand trackers, including detailed reporting on brand and innovation performance and implications
  • Participate in competitive analysis, evaluating performance, marketing strategies, and new market entrants. Demonstrate an understanding of assigned categories and brands.
  • Analyze data and trends that provide insights to assist Brand Manager in development of long-term strategic brand roadmap initiatives that expand the brand presence, increase, and diversify revenue streams and improve margins/profitability.
  • Complete category research and coordinate with Insights/Product Business Managers/Category Management/Merchandising teams for insights, data and trends that provides direction for new item concepts or rationalization
Job Requirements:
Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business preferred or equivalent related experience and training
Experience:
  • 2-4 years of brand management experience required.
  • Ideal: two years of experience in a consumer-packaged goods or private brands marketing, brand management, or innovation
  • Prior experience as a strong leader of cross functional teams and influencer • Proven experience turning ideas into reality and tracking ROI or P&L impact
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
  • Excellent oral, written communication and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as be team oriented
  • Ability to prioritize a multitude of tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage various projects at the same time

  • Pay Range: $56,400 - 102,000 Annually ($27.12 - 49.23 Hourly)
