Join the team as an Attorney – Estate Planning Counselor, at Crain & Wooley, an estate planning law firm! This position is for the Plano, Texas office. The Plano, Texas office is a small office that values teamwork and client satisfaction. We are experiencing growth in our client base, have promoted from within and are looking for an attorney who is prepared to help the firm grow and support the expansion of this office.
You’re an attorney who’s looking to implement your legal research, legal writing, social, communication, and educational skills by providing estate planning legal services to clients. You have a desire to interact with clients and support firm growth as a direct result of your work and you are excited to work in a standard workday, non-billable hour environment.

You desire to develop and maintain procedures within the Firm that result in Industry Leading Client Satisfaction and Legal Work Product.
You can handle multiple tasks simultaneously without becoming overwhelmed.
You are excited to work in a technology forward Firm. You have superior technology skills and are willing to learn and implement new technologies on a regular basis.
The position consists of 4 main areas of work: 50% document drafting/document reveiws with clients, 20% hourly case work, 20% new client consultations/business development and 10% administrative time for internal work.
This position will be responsible for:
Supporting estate planning clients with all aspects of document review, document drafting, signing meetings, trust funding, asset review, estate education, and client support.
Implementing project management skills to ensure 6-week estate plan deliverable deadlines.
Performing deed research and filings.
Supporting the Firm in achieving 24-hour business call back / contact Firm promise.
Meeting with clients to assess their probate case and to educate, counsel, and lead them successfully through their probate matters.
Developing litigation plans and implementing the legal strategies.
Drafting and filing probate court documents.
Attending probate hearings.
Skills:
Fantastic project management skills
Organized with strong conceptual and research skills
Critical thinker with attention to detail
Superior computer skills (strong typing) and technical knowledge including proficiency in Word, Adobe, Excel, and Outlook and mastery of business technology such as client-relationship management software, case management software, voice messaging, and digital multi-functional devices (fax/copier/scanner/printer).
Team oriented---works effectively with others, but also able to take direction and work independently.
Ability to make clear and timely decisions, develop a work schedule, set goals, and create/implement actions plans to monitor progress.
Experience:
Education requirement, must have JD or LLM
Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
0-4 Years experience, Crain & Wooley is willing to train

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
