Role/Responsibilities

Title: Associate Analyst 2

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007

Duties: Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of credit performance of rated companies in the corporate finance group. Develop three-statements financial modeling and sensitivity analysis regarding multiple credit-related scenarios. Conduct research within the corporate debt market. Evaluate bond indentures and covenant packages in order to develop financial models and facilitate credit analysis. Prepare modeling charts, tables, and peer comparison for research and/or presentation materials. Present quantitative data in rating recommendation meetings. Write and present research publications including company specific in-depth reports, credit opinions, press releases, sector-specific comments, and global sector in-depths. Update and prepare rating committee memorandums and other reports for internal credit discussion. Attend and present in internal rating committees. Assist Senior Analysts in maintaining relationships with high-profile issuer clients, investors, and intermediaries. Prepare and assist with presentations to high-profile issuer clients, investors, and intermediaries. Monitor and maintain portfolio and sector specific data. Serve as a mentor to junior Associate Analysts. Utilize Moody’s ratings methodologies: Moody’s industry-specific methodologies; Loss Given Default model; Speculative Liquidity model; Q tools, CMS Methode.

Qualifications

Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, or closely related quantitative field plus at least two (2) years of experience conducting quantitative and/or qualitative research and analysis. Full term of experience must include the following: developing projection models; analyzing credit quality of corporate debt issuers; conducting debt instrument recovery rate and covenant analysis; performing liquidity risk analysis; and writing, editing, and publishing articles using Eidos Méthode content management system.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $105,331 to $125,500, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
