- Masters’ Degree in Administration and Supervision with a major in Education Administration or its equivalent.
- Eligible for State of Michigan Administrative Certification.
- Minimum five (5) years successful classroom teaching experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to provide positive and supportive assistance to students, staff, parents, community, and others.
- Excellent technology skills with willingness to update, enhance, expand and improve those skills.
- Ability to perform duties with knowledge of district requirements and policies.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of middle school best practice, curriculum, instruction and assessments.
- Ability to use data to guide instructional decisions.
- Effective problem solving and dispute resolution ability.
- Experience with the school improvement process preferred.
- Special education knowledge preferred.

Summary
Assist with the responsibility for the operation and management of the middle school building and program under the direction, guidance and supervision of the middle school principal. Support and work toward the development of the goals, objectives and educational philosophy of the district and middle school principal. Assist with the evaluation of the job performance of staff under the supervision of the administration. Perform special duties and plan, direct and supervise general areas of responsibility as delegated and assigned by the middle school principal.
