Position: Assistant Operations Manager

Reports to: VP Operations and President
The Primary Role of the Assistant Operations Manager is to support the V.P of Operations. Daily
functions include plant scheduling and process monitoring to meet customer requirements, working
with production leaders to execute the production schedule, updating of process procedures,
assisting in new product introduction to plant, creation and post audit of batch process records,
participation in inventory control.
Priorities will be set by the VP of Operations and ultimately the President. The Assistant Operations
Manager will also work closely with the Corporate Compliance Manager, Production Superintendent,
and Lab Manager. Other areas of focus include being an active member of Safety Leadership
Team(SLT), PSM Program, and also inventory management and control. Involvement with
maintenance and plant repairs, assist in planning and execution of upgrades (capital) improvements.

This position may require the employee to handle or ship hazardous materials and hazardous waste
in accordance with applicable regulations found in 40 and 49 CFR. Strict adherence to the training
schedule outlined in the Training Plan is required. These requirements include a New Employee
Orientation. Phase 1 Training (<1 week on the job) and Phase 2 Training (>90 days on the job).
Failure to complete the required training may be grounds for disciplinary action up to and including
termination.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- As assigned by the VP Operations, will work with all Arnette Polymer personnel in a supportive
management.
- Able to receive direction both written and verbally;
- Supervise, coach, motivate, and develop staff;
- Enforces company policies and suggest improvements for safety and compliance.
- Have a good command and general working knowledge of manufacturing equipment (i.e.
reactors / mix tanks, and emergency shutdown procedures – particularly in the equipment

- Develop proven ability to direct the safe and effective handling for Arnette Polymer’s raw
- Be able to conduct routine laboratory testing of products (simple titrations, Brookfield
chromatography);
- Comprehension of the following manufacturing techniques: vacuum distillation, atmospheric
adjustment of rates of addition within the operating requirements of the equipment being
used;
- Acts in a stewardship capacity for the company, works as a functional member of the team,
- Works with the Corporate Compliance Manager to assist and administer the scheduling,
State, County, and Local regulation as well as company policies;
- Actively participate in safety and PSM meetings and lead when necessary;
- Assist with Contractor Orientation;
- Assist with New Employee Orientation and initial training;
- Work with the Production Superintendent to verify inventory control measures through shift
- Work with the Production Superintendent to verify daily HAZCOM, OSHA, RCRA, EPA, SPCC,

- Work with Management to track and reduce waste generation and costs, track and schedule
