About the Job
The Assistant Manager will be the face of Camp Bow Wow, help lead a large team of employees, oversee daily operations of the camp, budget and inventory, safety, and provide all necessary training when needed. The Assistant Manager works directly with the owner and other Camp Assistant Manager to grow the business of the local Camp through a variety of marketing and sales activities, while also managing day to day operations within the Camp. In-camp responsibilities will consist of opening or closing the camp, leading daily operational tasks, managing the front desk, interacting with Clients, and managing on-duty employees. The Assistant Manager will work to create partnerships with local businesses customers in the community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build mutually beneficial relationships with local vet hospitals, rescues, shelters and businesses
- Monitor overall coverage of Camp Counselors
- Assume responsibility to cover or find coverage of any uncovered shifts
- Monitor opening and closing shift checklists
- Ensure a safe and clean environment at all times for campers, as well as employees
- Track budget and ensure Camp goals are being met
- Generate sales and build new customer base through phone and email follow-ups
- Be a “hands-on Manager!” Camp Counselors work with you, not for you!

- Must be able to lead a team of multiple people, as well as in a team setting
Requirements
- MUST LOVE DOGS AND People!!!
- 2 years of management preferred in the pet care industry
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Submit to a background check
Availability
- This is a full-time exempt position
- The Camp Manager must be able to work a flexible schedule 7 days/week
- Weekend and holiday availability is required, but some time off is permitted with advance notice
- Available 6:00 am to 7:30pm any day of the week
- Attendance at evening and weekend events may be required occasionally
Pay
- Annual compensation - $32,240 + Quarterly performance-based bonus
