Job Location – Asheville, NC

The primary location of this position is at WCU’s Biltmore Park instructional site located in Asheville, NC.

This position is part of the WCU Programs in Asheville administrative team. The primary purpose of the WCU Programs in Asheville unit is the management of the university’s instructional site in Asheville including facility operations, curricular matters, academic and student support services, professional development and continuing education programs, as well as coordinating community outreach in Metro Asheville.

General
Directly support the Executive Director, representing them and the University at community events and meetings.
Work in partnership with departments across campus as well as external partners to provide program management support for programs and initiatives with multiple stakeholders. The position utilizes program evaluation, facilitation, and project planning to establish relationships, improve business processes, and implement change.
Serve as the liaison to the academic and student services units on main campus.
Serve as the liaison to the Graduate Student Association
Serve as the liaison with the Graduate School

Supervision
Supervise part-time graduate assistants and a full-time administrative support staff. Perform day-to-day supervision of administrative support staff in coordination with executive director and facility manager.

Programming
Work with existing academic programs and support creation of new programs through assessing needs, designing projects and programs, facilitating discussions, collecting and analyzing data and information to review and evaluate programming and provide recommendations.
Work with key stakeholders to develop agreed-upon project scope, milestones, goals, objectives and desired outcomes.
Facilitate discussion with internal and external stakeholders to implement complex initiatives, manage change, and improve processes.
Identify and communicate opportunities to improve internal operations and collaboration with external partners.
Serve as the university’s lead with the Asheville Chamber’s Young Professionals of Asheville Program.
Assist in developing and executing department events such as orientation and community-centered programs.

Assessment
Lead annual assessment and continuous improvement planning, review, and reporting.
Facilitate discussions with WCU Programs in Asheville staff in order to set goals, determine measures, and execute data and information gathering.
Collect and analyze relevant data/information, prepare assessment documents and reports, and present oral and written analysis of data.
Provide comprehensive analysis of program outcomes, outputs, and/or goals and prepare documents and reports for specified performance and evaluation projects.

Facility Support
Analyze data from multiple sources to assist in informing important decisions, including but not limited to those involving policy changes, organizational structure, staffing, training, partnerships, and process improvements.
Coordinate hiring, shift schedules, and onboarding of graduate assistants, part time student workers, and part time temporary staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
High education experience preferred.
