Job Description:
The successful candidate for this position will be able to support Sacred Heart University Athletics through operating, protecting, and maintaining the technical assets in the Martire Family Arena. Be the on-campus expert, manager and liaison for broadcasts, in-game shows, audio, video, lighting and effects.
Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as the main administrator for all technical aspects of the Martire Family Arena, and athletics broadcasts and game day shows. Serve as SHU Liaison to all installation vendors throughout Arena construction.
- Set and enforce safe-use guidelines for equipment
- Routinely perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Assist in content production for use during games
- Coordinate staffing for all events in Martire Family Arena and Athletics broadcasts
- Assist in run of show script and game day show development
- Coordinate and plan to implement sponsorship activations related to game day
- Research live production trends and bring findings back to department with the plan of improving the success of in-venue shows
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
- 3+ years of professional experience in live event production, live sports, television, or a closely related field
- Experience in live production, operating video board and motion graphics
- Proficiency with After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Audition
- Excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills combined with innovation and ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced production space
- Proficiency and creativity in non-linear video editing, color correction, and sound design
- Knowledge of TriCaster, video switching systems. Ross Video Experience a plus.
- Understanding of Audio console mixing
- Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and problem-solving skills
- Team player who can accept constructive criticism
- Focus on quality assurance
- Superior time management focus in order to achieve efficiencies and meet strict deadlines
- Customer-service oriented
- Excellent communication skills, both internally and with customers
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Driver's License required.
Additional Information:
Evening and weekend hours are required. Travel when necessary.
