What you’ll be doing:

You will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing strategies to recruit North American young adults for academic programs in Israel. You will build and strengthen partnerships with organizations and institutions to promote Masa Israel programs. You will also serve as a concierge for the Chicago Jewish community for all Israel programs under the Masa Israel Journey umbrella.

This position is a collaboration between the Jewish United Fund of Chicago and Masa Israel Journey with joint supervision and is grant funded.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Create and implement a national strategy for Israeli academic programs recruitment; develop expertise in the Masa’s academic segment to recommend appropriate programs to perspective applicants.
• Serve as the Chicago community resource for perspective applicants, enabling them to register with the ideal Masa program; develop partnerships with local institutions such as synagogues, youth serving organizations and high schools.
• Build and maintain relationships with North American and Israeli universities; partner with Jewish organizations and university affiliated student organizations to promote Masa programs.
• Oversee the Masa Campus Intern program; supervise student interns and manage program budget.
• Make data-driven decisions utilizing the Masa database; analyze data and research relevant markets.
• Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) on a quarterly basis.
• Plan and execute large-scale virtual or in-person recruitment events.
• Act as liaison for recent Masa Israel alumni, connecting them to the broader Jewish community.
• Support JUF Campaign and mandatory campaign-related activities on an ongoing basis.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• 3-4 years’ experience working in either Israel program space or recruitment field
• Prior Israel experience required; long-term program preferred
• Energetic self-starter, multi-tasker, and able to see projects through to completion
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
• Familiarity with the Chicago Jewish community
• Computer literacy in Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Drive. Ability to learn other programs, including Salesforce.
• Available for national and international travel
