This position assembles sub-components to create finished products for shipment to customers. Tasks may include part numbering and packaging of products.

Essential Job Functions

• Uses small air and electric operated tools.
• Prints identification labels using set computer programs.
• Uses small punch press machines label parts.

• Follow instructions on work orders to correctly assemble parts.
• Reads blueprint s and full scale drawings.
• Monitoring of sub-component inventory levels
• Assembly of sub-components to create finished products.
• Packages finished products.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to do basic math, including decimals and percentages.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have working knowledge of common materials.
• Ability to read and write and comprehend for purpose of communicating safety instructions and work directions. Be aware of and observe quality requirements.

Education and Experience Required

• At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Continuous mental and visual attention is required.
• Requires constant alertness and attention to detail of correct product shipped and the count quantity.
• Work involves likelihood of irregularity of work schedule to meet customer demand.
• Working in hot, cold, noisy work areas and being exposed to odors, fumes, and dust.
• Personal Protective Equipment includes safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
