Soul Studio Facilitating Artist Job Description

Soul Studio, a division of Friendship Circle, is looking for a Facilitating Artist to join its team.
At Soul Studio, adult student-artists with special needs have the opportunity to be introduced to a variety of traditional and contemporary art making processes. What you’ll do:
● Manage and teach Soul Studio artists.
● Oversee the specific medium’s workstation, keeping it organized,clean, and safe.
● Track and order materials.
● Ensure that the student-artists are progressing in their technical skills and artistic abilities by keeping them engaged during studio hours and documentation of the artists project(s) and day.
Who you’ll work with:
● Adults with special needs, 18 and over, who are interested in creative exploration in a variety of art mediums.
● Local Artists, just like you, who are passionate about their craft and have an unconditional love for people.
What we’re looking for:
● Experience or expertise in one or more mediums of art: fabrics, ceramics, woodworking, painting.
● Excellent communication skills.
● Strong organization skills.
● Ability to work in a team setting.
● Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
● Experience working with individuals with special needs is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
