ART DIRECTOR
Position Overview
As an Art Director at Mind+Matter, you have 2 to 3 years of experience designing, concepting, and executing in an agency or design shop across print and digital materials, with an emphasis on designing for the digital space. Your portfolio is bursting with client work that tells compelling stories, approaches complex design challenges with strong design solutions, and showcases your personal design style. Your dedication not only to what the work looks like, but how it creates impact and affects change in the world, drives you to continually create meaningful solutions. You’re ready to take direction or feedback and run with it, pushing boundaries with your design options. You thrive in fast-paced environments, support your art team by providing design solutions across a variety of projects, and work closely with internal teams to deliver best-in-class visual solutions for our clients.
Your day-to-day
- Collaborate with other designers, copywriters, UX designers, and more across a variety of strategic branding projects in digital, print, and environmental spaces
- Concept and execute compelling, human-centric marketing campaigns across disease and product spaces, for both patients and healthcare professionals
- Deliver a wide range of options (within an existing brand or when fostering the growth of a new brand) for project layouts and design
- Manage workload, both autonomously and collaboratively with your Group Art Supervisor and Delivery teammates, to achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Take direction from Creative leads as well as internal teams to meet project goals and foster consistent brand growth
- Continuously learning—about the disease state and/or products you work on, about best practices in your field and craft, about your coworkers and how best to partner with each discipline to create meaningful work
What we’re looking for
- BFA in graphic design or related field
- 2-3 years of agency or design shop experience
- A portfolio showcasing client work, both print and digital
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
- Adobe XD
- Photoshop CC
- Illustrator CC
- InDesign CC
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
- An understanding of design implications on development, responsive design, and UX best practices
- A detail-oriented eye for craft and pixel-perfect design
- An upbeat, team-first attitude and willingness to both learn and share your knowledge with others
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Self-directed, goal-oriented, results-driven personality with a commitment to continuous improvement
Extra credit
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3
- Healthcare and pharma experience
