The Area Electrician will be an essential member of Woodward Park City's Maintenance team, reporting to the Woodward Park City Maintenance Superintendent. The successful applicant will be responsible for electrical operations and maintenance on site, including but not limited to facility, lifts, snowmaking, vehicles and other electrical components. There will be some cross training with other departments to help out where needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support all electrical maintenance issues and upkeep as needed, keeping a safe and reliable mindset.
- Detailed record keeping of all tasks is a must. Ability to communicate across all levels.
- Installing, maintenance, and emergency repairs of 480 volt power distribution systems including: transformers, switch cabinets, underground high voltage, etc.
- Installation & maintenance of ski lift and snowmaking electrical systems including: pump motors, starters, controls, transducers, etc.
- Knowledge of all site wiring systems in compliance with all national and local codes.
- Maintenance of parking lighting, special event lighting, electrical heating.
- Execute and maintain good communication skills and a positive attitude for our guest and work mates.
- Scheduling needs be open to weekends and holidays, also flexible with change be it weather, timelines and other staff needs.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and learn new skills as needed.
- Assist with other operation needs when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills:
- 2-3 yrs years of experience in related field.
- Must be comfortable working in heights and confined spaces.
- Able to work as a team and independently.
- Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team.
Basic Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs, work in confined spaces.
- Must be comfortable working in an indoor and outdoor all season environment.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Implement job hazard analysis and report, as well as attend all weekly safety meetings.
- Safety always comes first and is never second guessed.
- Develop a mindset to always help all staff and departments as needed.
- Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted.
