The ideal candidate should have at least 4-8 years of experience in the field of architecture, being proficient in Revit, experienced in COMcheck, with AutoCAD knowledge a plus. You should understand construction and have experience in navigating building codes and zoning ordinances. Candidates should have a MArch, BArch, or BS in Architecture with adequate experience in construction and design. Preference will be given to registered Architect or those within one year of qualifying for registration. Please be prepared to submit a portfolio demonstrating your experience.
Essential Functions
- Design and prepare construction documents within Revit
- Participate in design meetings to seek input and give feedback as part of the building team
- Coordinate with other disciplines including structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical
- Attend design and construction progress meetings with clients, engineers, and building services team
- Assist with building surveys for renovation or addition design
- Assist with bidding, contractor communication, and construction administration
- Understand commercial code compliance standards and the building permitting process
