Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist
Shift: Monday-Friday
Hours: Full-time
Overview:
- Supports financial and business office operations at the facility, and reports directly to the Business Office Manager
- High concentration on accounts receivable collections
- Active collections of all aging accounts while also collecting current cash
- Responsible for medical billing
- Assist in maintaining a system of financial record keeping to include ledgers, recording payments, writing receipts, posting cash journals, prepare and make bank deposits, etc. and additional duties as needed.
- Perform month-end close
- Assistant in the review the facility’s accounting policies and procedures periodically, at least annually, and make recommendations to the Business Manager
Qualifications:
- Collections experience required
- Medicaid Pending experience a plus
- Experience with assisting families to answer questions about bills, statements, Medicaid qualifications
- Professional, positive, and customer service driven
- Strong organizational and time management skills are a must
- Must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
