POSITION TITLE: APRN - Float
FLSA: EXEMPT
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- BSN required.
- Master of Science Nurse Practitioner program.
- Florida ARNP license.
- Certified by Professional or National Nursing.
- Ability to use EMR.
- Ability to interpret signs and symptoms elicited through history and physical.
- Ability to determine health problems after lab and x-ray information is available.
- Judgment and knowledge to obtain consultation when appropriate.
- Works under physician-supervised protocols, which are registered with the state.
- BLS required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Provide primary care.
- Histories and physicals.
- Management of chronic and short-term illness according to medical protocols.
- Provide health maintenance and preventive teaching.
- Family counseling and psychological support.
- Family planning.
- Collaborate with a physician regarding plan of care and referral as needed.
- Travel is not paid
- Other duties as assigned.
