YOUR MISSION
General Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Footwear Design team, you will create unique new footwear designs that address consumer, retailer, and company needs on a seasonal timeline. Tasks include:

Conceptualize new footwear designs.
-
Provide market research and design trend analysis.
-
Research and understand different consumer needs and channels.
-
Design into both innovative performance product and cost-effective essentials.
-
Prepare design review presentations.
-
Execute footwear design detailing and technical packages.
-
Design and specify trend relevant color and material options.
-
Refine and finish footwear designs through multiple prototyping process.
-
Manage and update design tech packs and data base.
Additional Responsibilities:
-
Prepare original designs and execute to the highest level of quality with creative input from the team.

Understand design quality and project efficiency.
-
Understand footwear manufacturing materials and processes.
-
Computer skills (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
-
Demonstrate a high level of understanding in consumer trends, retail/market/product line dynamics and how the products you design affect those environments.

Show self-motivation, drive and the desire to learn and grow professionally.

Show effective project time management.

Acquire and share knowledge/skills.

Adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
POD Specific Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with your fellow POD/team members:
Footwear Design Team Members:

Develop constructive working relationship with fellow designers.

Learn and provide helpful, insightful, and appropriate design input.

Utilize constructive criticism from other team members.
-
Achieve project goals within the established timeline.
Product Line Manager Team Members:
-
Develop productive working relationship with category PLMs to achieve successful product outcomes.
-
Develop an understanding of the category PLM’s role in the business process and expose yourself to their knowledge.

Develop a comprehension of category project briefs.
-
Develop an understanding of category market analysis and how to apply it to the design process.
-
Achieve project goals within the established timeline.
Footwear Development Team Members:
-
Develop constructive working relationship with development team to achieve successful product outcomes.

Develop an understanding of a developer’s role in the overall process and expose yourself to their knowledge.

Creatively apply problem-solving skills in manufacturing/development issues.
-
Achieve project goals within the established timeline.
YOUR TALENT
We Expect:
-
Graduated in Industrial Design or related field.
-
Strong drawing, rendering and presentation skills.
-
Refined design conceptualization and communication skills.
-
Competency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
Must Demonstrate:
-
Willingness to learn skills/knowledge in the areas of: Three dimensional design/footwear design, product conceptualization, technical package specification, design for best practices in product function and manufacturing, color and material creation/selection, prototyping and sample creation, manufacturing processes and procedures, design presentation skills, fashion/consumer trends and global market dynamics in footwear.

Creative and innovative design skills within multiple areas of the design process.

A strong eye for detail and refinement.

Excellent organizational skills coupled with a pro-active, team based personality.

Ability to effectively interface and communicate with an international team located on multiple continents.
