Responsibilities
- Provide support and participate with customer/sales in design, development, and fabrication as the “expert” resource for the Vibracoustic product line
- Work with customer engineering team on advance product development, responsible for timely execution of prototype programs, support customer technical requests, and help win the new programs
- Travel to customer sites, as needed, as part of product development activities
- Provide complete responsibility for management, technical direction, and communication for all assigned programs as directed by the APQP system or the employee’s supervisor
- Provide direction and support for the completion of all assigned design projects
- Supply all necessary technical support for the successful completion of a validated product design program
- Provide Engineering support to the Cost Estimating Department utilizing technical knowledge, experience, and drawing requirements
- Provide information and technical direction to purchasing/supply base with respect to drawing requirements and interpretation
- Provide all required activities for a timely completion of the product development cycle from initial design concept requirements, detailing, GDT, prototype processing, prototype assembly, testing, and dimensional integrity in accordance with customer requirements
- Provide Engineering support and direction for the manufacturing facilities
- Support problem-solving for development-related customer concerns
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- Three-to-five years’ experience in project/program management and product development preferred
- Linear Damper and Driveline product knowledge a plus
- Project management experience required
- Strong presentation, organization, problem solving, and communication skills required
