Responsibilities:

The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is seeking a temporary general assistant / laboratory helper for the College’s vivarium.

Specific Duties include:

  • Dump Cages
  • Pre-clean and scrub cages
  • Load Racks and run cycles through washers and sterilizers
  • General cleaning duties
  • Stocking and storing of materials and supplies

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma

Ability to read and write and to follow verbal and written instructions; to operate laboratory equipment such as autoclaves and other sterilizers; to lift, transport and deliver materials and stock laboratory supplies and goods; to wear and work in personal protective equipment and the ability to stand, bend lift and twist for prolonged periods of time needed to perform the job.



Preferred Qualifications:

Availability Monday through Fridays 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

A background check may be required.
