Analyst/Senior Analyst FP&A
Legal Sea Foods Restaurant Group is seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to play a key role in financial planning and analysis. The position will support all three restaurant concepts operated by PPX Hospitality Brands: Legal Sea Foods, Smith & Wollensky and Strega Italiano.
The summary below describes responsibilities at the Analyst level. Candidates with appropriate skills and experience may be considered for a Senior Analyst role, which would involve greater ownership over these functions and require higher-level contributions.
At present, this role is partially remote, with the expectation of working three days per week in PPXs head office in the Seaport.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support the development of the annual operating budget and long-term forecast by compiling and analyzing data, developing assumptions and maintaining models. Coordinate collaborative budget process with key internal stakeholders.
Build and maintain reports in areas that may include sales, cost of goods, labor, traffic and menu mix.
Monitor KPIs and analyze variance against budget or other benchmarks; identify opportunities for improvement. Support initiatives to drive profitable sales growth in collaboration with restaurant management teams.
- Develop and maintain financial models to project the performance of new locations.
- Administer leases, which may include reviewing and paying monthly rents, calculating percent rent, and reconciling lease charges.
- Provide ad hoc analysis in support of various strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree and at least two years of relevant work experience, preferably in corporate finance, consulting or accounting.
Strong knowledge of finance and accounting, with deep understanding of drivers of financial performance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel. Experience working with general ledger systems.
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills. Demonstrated skill in managing multiple projects of varying complexity and length.
