POSITION: Air Conditioning Technology Instructor

Under general supervision, the instructor will be responsible for providing guidance and instruction necessary to prepare students with the technical competencies essential to the Air Conditioning Technology program. The instructor will perform all aspects of instruction for the Air Conditioning program: effectively use oral and written communicant skills, demonstrate knowledge of current in-field procedures, complete all reports, records, and invoices in a timely manner, maintain accurate inventory of all assigned properties, maintain qualifications for employment as described by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Policy Manual and accreditation standards. The selected candidate must be able to perform physical activities, such as but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, and walking. The selected candidate must also withstand a variety of indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Air Conditioning Technology OR Associate’s Degree in any field and Diploma in Air Conditioning Technology.
• Related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Air Conditioning Technology
• Three (3) or more years related work experience.
• Hold a valid EPA 608 Certification
• Familiar with Wi-Fi systems and variable speed drive systems.
• Refrigeration experience.
• Previous teaching experience

Salary/Benefits:

• Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
