    Job summary:
    Provide in-depth secretarial/clerical support to the leadership team and staff of the elementary school. Major emphasis is placed on the organization and coordination of the internal clerical office functions of the school and the use of student informational systems.

    Responsibilities and tasks include:

    • Provide clerical support to the school leadership team and school staff in the form of typing, filing, duplication of materials, answering phones, running reports, calendar management, etc.
    • Greet visitors and answer questions/concerns for the school to include functioning as a liaison between the leadership team and teachers, management staff, students, parents and the general public. Provides community resource information.
    • Maintain student records, all information required on cum files. Enroll and withdraw students; request records for new students.
    • Organize and prepare material and assist in coordination of department work from the central services center.
    • Maintain a high level of organization of general files for easy, accessible access and report generation.
    • Provide assistance in coordination of building organizations (and teams) like behavior reports, reporting, state required paperwork, class schedule, end-of-day reports.
    • Responds to health concerns during health specialists absence on a daily basis.
    • Assist in maintaining the building calendar and working collaboratively with the building leadership team calendar.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum qualifications include:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Extensive secretarial/clerical and computer skills including: Publisher, Mail Merge, Word, Access, Outlook
    • Extensive skills in developing and maintaining record system
    • Knowledge of district policies as they affect the general operation of the building
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of the materials and information disseminated daily
    • Human relation strengths including helping, serving, and exchanging information
    • Strong communication skills; oral and written

    Salary: View salary grid on Page 5, Section 1, and Classification, Pages 6 - 7, Section 3 of the Administrative Education Support Professionals (AESPs) contract

    Work schedule: 8 hrs/day, 219 days per year
