What Are We Looking For?
Doctors Care is currently looking for an Advanced Practitioner and Associate Regional Medical Director (ARMD). The ARMD assists in implementing policies for the region that have been developed in conjunction with the CMO. The ARMD will spend 60% of their time seeing patients in-center and 40% on administrative duties. In addition to his/her clinical role, the RMD is responsible for the oversight of physicians and advanced practitioners in his/her geographical region. This oversight includes the recruitment, coaching, and development of area medical providers, the assurance of effective quality and utilization management, and the successful transition within area centers to a value-based delivery system. The ARMD works with the CMO and the Regional Operations Director to effectively align area medical providers with center support staff. The ARMD ensures compliance with governmental rules and regulations in all centers and maintains communications with area providers regarding corporate policies, practice changes, and provider concerns.
Essential Functions:
  • Utilizes a system of review to ensure that all providers are implementing best care options in their practice.
  • Assists in the identification and recruitment of qualified providers.
  • Ensures that provider scheduling for their region optimizes delivery of quality, efficient care in an equitable fashion.
  • Provides orientation and arranges training for all newly hired providers within their assigned region.
  • Arranges for an annual meeting to cover major changes and overviews for the upcoming year.
  • Works in collaboration with CMO to establish goals and a mechanism to achieve goals for each of the centers overseen- including financial, quality, and quantitative measures.
  • Works closely with the Regional Operations Director (ROD) to achieve the above goals.
  • Works with the Regional Operations Director to encourage a culture of collaboration and open communication across all staff levels in the region.
  • Reviews each office in a comprehensive manner on-site at least once a year. Visits each office at least every six weeks.
  • Holds frequent virtual medical provider meetings to discuss updates and receive feedback.
  • Serves as a liaison to the local community and businesses as needed to develop new customers.
  • Meets with CMO in person or virtually every month.
  • Performs annual performance reviews of all providers in assigned their region.
  • Works with other regional medical directors and CMO to establish and review criteria for reviews.
  • Assists in policy and procedure development and revisions.
  • Performs exit interviews when providers leave the company.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Physicians within assigned region
  • Nurse Practitioners within assigned region
  • Physician Assistants within assigned region

Do You Have What It Takes?
A good candidate will bring with them:
  • Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies or Master of Science in Nursing Degree
  • Current Federal DEA and South Carolina controlled substance Certificate of Registration
  • State of South Carolina licensure
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with proper telephone etiquette
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR certification
An ideal candidate would also have:
  • 2+ years management experience
