Admissions Counselor Job at Nebraska State College System
- Manage assigned recruiting territory from regional home office in Colorado. Assigned recruiting territory will include but is not limited to Colorado.
- Provide general information to prospective students, counselors, advisors and parent about CSC housing, scholarships, health services, tutoring, advising and other campus offices
- Extensive travel to high schools, community colleges, college fairs, job fairs, community events and other promotional events within assigned recruiting territory.
- Identify and recruit both campus based as well as online prospective students.
- Plan and conduct visits to high schools, community colleges, college fairs, job fairs, community events and other promotional events
- Contacts prospective students (leads) and provides accurate and complete information about programs for both undergraduate and graduate, as well as campus based and online students
- Manage and organize inquiries received for both campus based and online learners.
- Respond to communication (phone calls, emails, text messages, web inquiries) from all potential students interested in knowing or receiving information about CSC campus-based and online programs.
- Utilize communication relationship management (CRM) and student information systems for communication and documentation purposes.
- Return web inquiries and calls promptly to all potential students.
- Compose and send personal e-mail and written correspondence
- Provide enrollment assistance to new and current students
- Monitor status of pre-applicants and applicants
- Assist Chadron State College with their digital presence through website maintenance, social media content, and digital communication systems as assigned.
- Assist in developing prospective student publications and promotional displays
- Seek out opportunities for CSC promotional displays in assigned territory
- Assist with tours, open houses, On-Campus Registration sessions and New Student Orientation as directed
- Fully support all functions of the Admissions Office
- Provide feedback from environmental scanning on all relevant enrollment management topics
- Other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Experience in successfully serving and working with diverse, first generation, and underrepresented populations
Good oral and written communication skills including public speaking
Willingness to travel extensively
Computer and database skills
Experience in college admissions, public relations
Valid driver’s license
Satisfactory evaluation of driving record
