The Finance Department is seeking a dynamic Grants Administrator to resolve complex, technical issues and design systems, processes, guidelines, rules, and standards that are critical and directly impact the ongoing operations and policies in specific grant management activities for all pre and post-award grant opportunities for the City and County of Broomfield.
The ideal candidate will be an organized, analytical individual, with a passion for results. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in procurement as well as, a strong desire for innovation, ability to learn, attention to detail, and willingness to continue to undertake greater challenges are a requirement. The ability to work independently as well as being part of the team is essential. This full-time position is typically scheduled 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday with additional evening and weekend hours as required, which may be located onsite or remote at times.

Hiring Range $60,840.00 - $71,572.80 annually
Salary Range $60,840.00 - $82,305.60 annually
Essential Required Tasks/Examples of Duties

Researches and studies grant opportunities that may be beneficial to the Broomfield

Develops, organizes, writes, and/or edits grant proposals including submittals from departments

Collaborates and coordinates with other personnel affected by grant opportunities to obtain required data and needed background information (i.e. program goals and objectives) that outline how funds will be used

Provides technical guidance to management and department staff on compliance with funding rules, regulations, and grant terms and conditions

Completes documents provided by the granting agency and works with department staff for review

Reviews, edits, and/or prepares internal reports documenting grant activity

Assists in preparing grant budget amendments and revisions
Minimum Qualifications
Training - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or closely related field.
Experience - Three years of progressively responsible experience writing and managing grant proposals and projects in a variety of funding capacities; previous experience working with government funding preferred.
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the Necessary Applicant Traits.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: interviews, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex-offender registry.

Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods). Data entry and other tasks may require sitting at a computer for several hours. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
