SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Responsible to the Associate Dean, School of Rehabilitation Sciences

POSITION SUMMARY: Acts as administrative support for the School of Rehabilitation Sciences, including gathering and documenting site availability for student placements, coordinating with the Directors of Clinical Education and other Administrative Support Assistants regarding site affiliation agreements as needed, entering, and updating student placements as needed, monitoring site and preceptor/fieldwork educator compliance with submission of required information. This posittion is scheduled for 16-18 hours per week.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a point of phone and electronic mail contact for obtaining, retaining, and developing affiliation agreements for programs housed within the school.
  • Work collaboratively with the Directors of Clinical Education to coordinate phone, mail, and electronic mail communication between programs and sites.
  • Assist Directors of Clinical Education with creating, executing, and maintaining clinical education affiliation agreements for programs within the school.
  • Assist Directors of Clinical Education with maintaining a database of clinical education sites for programs within the school.
  • Assist Directors of Clinical Education with utilizing the school's clinical education database, including site, clinical instructor(s)/preceptor(s)/fieldwork educator(s), student(s), and assessment information.
  • Assist existing Administrative Support Specialists in the School.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma required, associate degree and/or three years related experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Preferred skills include excellent problem-solving, strong oral and written communication skills, initiative, independent decision-making, and ability to multitask. Required computer skills at an intermediate level with Microsoft Office, particularly database applications, word processing, and spreadsheets is essential.
