The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Administrative Coordinator PT19.

The Aviation Department which operates the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the North Perry Airport is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Coordinator PT19 for the Operations division. This position will provide assistance to the Administrative Officer as it relates to Kronos, PeopleSoft, personnel related functions, and URM archiving program. In addition, this position will be responsible for managing the Airport Airfield Operating Area (AOA) ramp access program and the Airport driver's license program. The Administrative Coordinator should have the ability to compose letters and memos, proofread documents to identify errors, assist staff with reviewing invoices, assist staff with administrative needs and respond to employee inquiries. Additional duties will include ordering supplies, employee filing, employee uniform procurement and distribution, entering work orders in the Maximo work order system. This position must be able to perform rotational shift work and/or overtime (holidays, weekends and emergencies) in support of the operational needs in a twenty-four (24) hour per day/seven (7) days per week operation and in accordance with a collective bargaining agreement.
All Aviation Department employees must possess the ability to interact courteously with the public, Airport vendors, contractors and fellow employees to maintain a professional work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes a positive work environment.
(Two years of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.)
Requires four (4) years in staff administration, management, and organization or closely related experience including six (6) months lead work/supervisory experience depending on area of assignment.
Special Certifications and Licenses
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License with authority to drive a county vehicle for the duration of appointment.
- Must obtain and maintain Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) and maintain Customs and Border Protection Seal.

- Reviews state of accounts and records, and assists in preparing oral, written and statistical reports; provides professional level staff assistance to an administrative superior, division or department head in specially assigned areas of operation; assists and advises on matters pertaining to programs or projects assigned.
- Responsible for maintenance of project records and documentation; facilitates the accomplishment of work through providing, obtaining and coordinating a variety of services.
- Acts as administrative liaison among various County operational and administrative functions related to an assigned program or project; interprets and explains policy regulations and operating procedures.

Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.
Performs light work that involves walking or standing most of the time and involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis, or skill, adeptness and speed in the use of fingers, hands or limbs on repetitive operation of electronic office equipment within moderate tolerances or limits of accuracy.
