To be successful as an administrative assistant, candidates should be professional, responsive and attentive while also being accurate. They should always be prepared and willing to meet each challenge directly. Administrative assistants must be comfortable using various forms of technology, general office tasks, and excel at both verbal and written communication. Most importantly, Administrative assistants should have a genuine desire to meet the needs of others and provide excellent customer service on a daily basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Offer administrative support as needed, including but not limited to, managing calendars, scheduling meetings, answering phones and taking detailed messages.
  • Organize and file digital and physical documents, including receipts and various reports.
  • Answer and screen phone calls and routing callers to the appropriate party.
  • Greet customers and help with any inquiries.
  • Generate reports, transcribe minutes from meetings, create presentations, and conduct research.
  • Anticipate the needs of others in order to ensure their seamless and positive experience.

Job Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel software, filing systems and following general office procedures
  • Ability to grasp new concepts and quickly learn to use the various systems used on a daily basis.
  • Availale to work full-time hours Monday-Friday (8:45am-6pm)
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Accuracy and attention to details
  • Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
  • High school diploma
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Previous administrative experience

This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs. State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees. State Farm agents’ employees are not employees of State Farm. Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
