Administrative Assistant - Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (MCS) Job at Carnegie Mellon University
Carnegie Mellon University’s Mellon College of Science is in search of an Administrative Assistant I to support the office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This part-time (20 hours per week), hybrid position will report directly to the Associate Dean of DE&I. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for scheduling, processing expense reports, disseminating prepared information, coordinating events, data organization, and addressing general inquiries.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining calendars and scheduling activities and events.
- Processing reimbursements for travel and business expenses.
- Emailing to share or collect relevant information.
- Coordinating event logistics.
- Crafting surveys and forms.
- Providing general office management.

You should demonstrate:
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail; keep and maintain accurate and detailed reports and records.
- Ability to work with sensitive information, maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
- Proficiency with Google G-Suite and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3-5 Years of experience
