We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team and provide support to our staff and clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily office operations, providing administrative support to the team, and ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have a strong customer service focus.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
- Schedule meetings and appointments.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Organize files and documents.
- Manage calendars.
- Provide administrative support to other departments as needed.
- Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable for a variety of clients.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Manage the company's payroll and ensure timely payment of employee salaries and benefits
- Prepare and submit financial reports to management on a regular basis
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Assist with annual audits and other financial reporting as needed
- Liaise with external partners, including banks, accountants, and vendors
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
