The incumbent supports administrative and instructional activities across the Adult Education program. This individual will assist adults with the enrollment and assessment process, collect and report student data, assist with admissions, assessment and instruction days and evenings in various locations on campus. This position reports to the Dean of Adult Education. The incumbent will be required to work evening hours. This is a twelve-month position, twenty hours per week.

Greet visitors to the Adult Education Center and provide direction.

Assist students in completing the intake/enrollment form.

Prepare student folders (GED and/or ESL).

Duplicate documents, schedules, brochures and instructional materials.

File folders daily.

Answer telephones, respond as required, and take messages.

Enter data into the LACES system, and also into an Excel data system.

Assist with the administration of all assessments including TABE, TABE CLAS-E, GED Ready, and Accuplacer.

Assist with instruction in the ESL and GED classrooms.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Rate of Pay: $12 per hour
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills
- Knowledge of record keeping procedures.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of mathematics and statistics.
- Knowledge of work-related subject area.
- Knowledge of computers and software applications.
- Ability to conduct research and compile data into report form.
- Ability to establish and maintain filing systems.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Ability to analyze documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and
- procedures.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

Required Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one year of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed.
Additional requirements determined by the institution for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education.
