We are seeking an experienced and compassionate ADHC Program Aid to join our team. The successful candidate will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in an Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) program. The ADHC Program Aid will be responsible for providing personal care, emotional support, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to individuals in the program. The ideal candidate should be patient, reliable, and able to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Provide emotional support to individuals and maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards them.
- Assist with feeding and hydration, as needed.
- Assist with program activities, such as recreational activities, exercise, and arts and crafts.
- Document individual progress and behavior accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Follow established policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with various disabilities and their families/caregivers.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to speak Mandarin/Cantonese
