Actuarial Assistant - Hybrid Available Job at Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Co.
Our Corporate Actuarial team is looking for an Actuarial Assistant to join our team. The qualifications are:
- College degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or equivalent
- Completion of minimum of 3 preliminary exams
- 2 years’ experience in Actuarial work
- Programming skills and knowledge of application software
- Good oral and written communication skills
The Actuarial Assistant will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of roles. The responsibilities may include:
- Assist the modeling team in production of annual budgets, solvency analysis reporting, and regulatory projections
- Represent the actuarial perspectives in enterprise data analysis projects
- Assist in the development and pricing of new insurance products
- Assist in the development of actuarial assumptions and experience studies
- Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of PBR calculations, analysis, and reporting
- Assist in the determination and application of policy holder dividends
- Active participation in educational opportunities, including SOA exams, industry certificate programs, and other continuing education.
- Provide actuarial support to other departments in areas such as product marketing and filings, illustrations, and IRC Section 7702 and 7702A calculations.
