Qualification/Experience/Responsibilities

A successful candidate will be able to provide compassionate, professional, and quality care to all participants, maintaining integrity and dignity. The best candidate will be a “people person” who appreciates the wisdom and life experiences of older adults and is driven to serve the community. High school diploma required. Appropriate older adult experience preferred. This position requires the applicant to be or willing to become CPR and First Aid certified. We are seeking an individual to work as an Activity Associate in our Adult Day Services Program in Auburn Hills. The Activity Associate will lead various activities throughout the day such as games, sing a longs, exercise, arts and crafts and also assist with serving lunch. The individual will assist participants with personal care needs such as toileting, feeding and assistance in walking. The candidate must be able to speak and understand English.

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Travel:

This job operates in a professional office environment and includes some travel. Must be able to assist with wheelchair transfers.

Position Classification, Type & Expected Hours of Work:

Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm (hours of operation)

Required to Work: 7 hours/day and 4 days/week

Job Type: Part Time, 28 hours per week, Non- Exempt Position

Pay: $13.50/hr.
