The Glenview at Pelican Bay is a premier continuing care retirement community located in beautiful, sunny Naples, Florida.

We are currently considering candidates for a hospitality focused Activities Coordinator.
Candidates must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or have two years experience in a social or recreational program in a licensed health care setting.
We currently have the following shifts available: Full-time, Monday-Friday.

The Activities Coordinator at The Glenview at Pelican Bay is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of a varied activity program.

The Activities Coordinator will assist with services including but not limited to:

  • Coordinates and provides recreational and educational activities: current events, discussion groups, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, off-campus outings, special events and one-on-one visits, as indicated.
  • Produces monthly calendars and other promotional material.
  • Interviews and develops the individual resident assessments to accurately provide recreational programs base on individual needs and resident interest.
  • Suggests a program of recreational activities to relatives for use upon discharge of residents; refers relatives to recreation resources and services available in the community.
  • Prepares and maintains pertinent reports, studies, and schedules in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintins accurate documentation of residents' progress and responses to programs.

Skills/Qualifications:

A Bachelor degree is preferable. A qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or two years experience in a social or recreational program in a licensed health care setting within the last five years is preferred as well.
