Job Summary
This position is currently available for work at home to candidates that reside in the following states: Arizona, D.C., Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York – Exempt only, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Washington (within 80 miles of Coeur d’Alene) or who reside in neighboring states and within 60 miles of Chadds Ford, PA or Lenexa, KS.
The Manager, Acquisition or ECM Marketing is a member of a team responsible for delivering best in class, branded marketing and loyalty programs across multiple portfolios and channels leveraging data-driven insights and vertical expertise to drive profitable campaigns that deliver value for our cardmembers, brand partners and our organization.
This role builds marketing strategy for either acquisition or ECM initiatives and supports execution of marketing strategy that drives strong, sustainable, mutually beneficial growth in New Accounts, Accounts Receivable, Credit Sales and Profit. The Manager, Acquisition or ECM Marketing collaborates with their leader to shape Marketing decisions and strategies and gain ongoing investment approval. The role must demonstrate financial industry, vertical, and product knowledge to develop marketing campaigns that deliver on expected KPIs for Bread Financial products across channels and meet GM teams’ portfolio goals. Other duties as assigned to meet function/business needs.
This role has a focus in managing marketing campaigns and plans for our unsecured lending products which include balance transfer, rate sale, promotional rate, and personal installment loans.

Essential Job Functions
Marketing Planning - Provides expertise and builds Acquisition or ECM marketing plans (monthly, quarterly, and annual) relevant to specific vertical and/or product set, optimizing program performance and delivering on strategic plans to achieve/exceed specific campaign KPIs. Proactively guides cross-disciplinary team to assess areas of opportunity and develop strategic initiatives that can be applied throughout the product portfolio. Accountable for new campaign and idea generation to improve on campaign KPIs. Manages marketing programs that deliver value and successfully meet the agreed upon goals for each critical initiative. Reviews data, results and performance measurements to coordinate programs that ensure goals and targets are being met, updating budget and forecast documents for continual tracking vs. plan. Guides budgeting activities in support of driving profitable growth.
Marketing Standards & KPIs - Leverages industry benchmarks and a test and learn approach in partnership with internal partners to identify emerging marketing strategies and technologies to implement test plans. Leverages campaign data, benchmarks, and prior results to improve marketing campaigns. Demonstrates knowledge of payment products and specific verticals, applying expertise to develop marketing programs that provide value to our cardmembers, clients, and Bread Financial. Documents campaign performance and participates in recurring business intelligence review, including review of industry trends, consumer spend, and emerging trends to advise on necessary changes to future strategy. Works across functions to develop effective test-and-learn and campaign plans to produce campaign benchmarks and proof points to improve performance and secure investment in roll-out of new marketing strategies and tactics. Uses knowledge gained through testing to revise ongoing campaign plans to improve overall marketing performance, ensuring continual adoption of optimal marketing materials, offer, and channels.
Campaign Performance - Accountable for securing internal alignment on marketing investment decisions. Works within matrixed organization to optimize marketing performance supporting GM teams’ P&L, maximizing return on investment, and portfolio KPIs. Informs and influences organization on optimized Bread Financ customer segmentation approach and Acquisition of ECM marketing strategy. Evaluates campaign performance to make strategic decisions that will influence annual, quarterly, and monthly campaign planning. Independently responsible for reviewing campaign performance with Senior Leaders to gain alignment, and to develop a go forward approach. Accountable for bringing team, and matrixed partners along through this process.
Marketing Execution – Leads Lead or Senior Specialist with internal and external campaign execution responsibilities. Identifies and works to continually implement process improvements matching resource level of effort to business value. Supports enterprise-wide channel initiatives through continual process improvement and testing. Works across business with cross-functional leaders to ensure business processes are working efficiently and effectively.
Internal responsibilities include reviewing marketing collateral, completing and handing off program strategy brief, participating in stakeholder meetings, entering requests for analysis, prioritizing results analysis, and attending inventory management meetings. Contributes to enterprise wide initiatives. Identifies and works to continually implement process improvements. May provide guidance and feedback to more junior associates on how to tactically execute program execution work. Must possess a strong ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and effectively manage time.
Compliance - Acts as first line of defense, overseeing adherence to bank compliance standards related to capabilities and clients’ omni-channel marketing materials. Supports Lead or Senior Specialist with escalated issues and/or remediation.
Talent Development - Provides coaching and mentoring opportunities to more junior team members. Works with direct reports (if applicable) to build and follow through on development plans and goals based on their level of performance. Guides associate behavior by demonstrating attitudinal leadership. Demonstrates leadership through training of peers, assisting in onboarding of new associates, advancing the skillset of all associates, and being viewed as a knowledge resource.
Collaboration and Communication - Utilizes critical thinking skills to help analyze business issues, collaborates with stakeholders to resolve problems, and gains consensus on the best solution. Utilizes knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams to execute daily work. Influences change across the organization by demonstrating organizational agility and managerial courage. Leads presentations and facilitates meetings in a professional and articulate manner.
Reports to Senior Manager or above

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Finance, Project Management, Advertising, Communication, Business Management or related field or equivalent experience
Five years experience in Marketing Strategy, Marketing Segmentation, Credit/Payments, Managing Test and Control, or Analyzing Marketing Campaign Data
Preferred Experience:
Experience in Finance, Marketing Analytics, Business Performance Analytics, Managing a Budget
Salary Range:
$100,900.00 - $240,600.00
The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.
Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.
All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safety Time per calendar year at the beginning of each year and is prorated in the associate’s first year of employment.
Hired associates will be able to elect to purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
