COMPANY HISTORY
In 1991, Joanne Currie and her husband Ross purchased Splash Café in Pismo Beach, CA. Over the next 30 years they became well known for winning the 1st place award for their Clam Chowder at the annual Clam Festival. The cafes now serve over 40,000 gallons of chowder a year, and they have been featured in several national and international publications and TV shows. Their success led to a second location in San Luis Obispo in 2005 where they also have a full-service bakery. The chowder is also available in a retail package for purchase at both locations and online for nationwide shipping.
Job Summary:
The purpose of the Accounting Specialist/Bookkeeper is to keep the business’s books in order by maintaining a complete and systematic set of records of business transactions.
Work location: 1491 Monterey Street San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 (this is not a remote position)
Working Hours:
Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 3 PM (with some flexibility)
Salary:
- $20 - $24 an hour
Essential Job Duties:
- Invoice Customers and Manage Deposits
- Process AP Invoices and Payment
- Reconcile company’s financial records to help ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Approve Monthly Inventory Counts
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 4 years of related field experience
- Proficient data entry and word processing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
