Monarch Investment and Management Group “Monarch” is growing and looking for an Accounting Manager - Accounts Receivable Manager in the Multifamily Housing Industry to join our home office team in Franktown, CO (a quaint little town located between Parker and Castle Rock).


Monarch Investment & Management Group has been actively involved in Multifamily Housing investment since 1992. Unlike many of our peers we are not a real estate investment trust but privately owned by people who actually care. We currently own and manage over 72,000 apartments in 20 states, making us the 8th largest multifamily owner in the country. In addition, Monarch operates a nationally franchised hotel and a ski and snowboard resort.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily Management of team of Accountants and Accounts Receivable
  • Evaluate and manage team size in relation to workload
  • Identify processes and procedures for efficiencies in processing AR
  • Monthly Review of Staff Accountant Workbooks
  • Assist Staff Accountants with complex questions and processes
  • Carry group of properties acting as Staff Accountant
  • Lead team in staying on track and meeting monthly schedule
  • Research Accounting topics and Present Conclusions and Recommendations
  • Develop new review processes as needed to include revenue analysis as it relates to Concessions, A/R Delinquency, Rent Roll, etc.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, 2 to 4 years of staff accounting experience
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to prepare and understand financial statements, error free
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail & initiative
  • Ability to organize & prioritize assignments to meet deadlines
  • Ability to develop new process, write up research and troubleshoot system issues
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time appropriately based on priority
  • Must have excellent communication skills, shows professional maturity and leadership capability
  • Experience with Yardi or other multifamily accounting programs preferred but not required

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:
