Accounting Manager, Client Accounting and Advisory Services
Location: Syracuse, Watertown, Rochester, NY

Job Summary
: Due to continued Firm growth and expansion of our client base, our Client Accounting and Advisory Services sector is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee accounting for several Firm clients that have outsourced their accounting functions to our Firm
  • Consult and advise on strategies to assist Firm clients with growth and profitability
  • Work with new client onboarding and setting processes and procedures to fit their business
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from clients, prospective clients, and/or regulatory agencies
  • Review Financial Statements monthly
  • Assist with Financial Reporting
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Skilled at preparing complex client correspondence including recommendations, technical issues, and proposals
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to create and properly monitor engagement budgets
  • Ability to identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities with clients
  • Ability to develop and sustain business relationships

Basic Qualifications/Education:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting with 2 years’ supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, etc)
  • Associates degree required
  • Experience working within a CPA firm preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently and within a group environment

Our Client Accounting and Advisory Services Department serves approximately two-hundred businesses providing outsourced CFO functions, full-service bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, vendor bill processing and payment, revenue invoicing, payroll, and various accounting analysis as requested.
