Accounting Manager Job at Beacon Resources
Beacon Resources, in partnership with our real estate client in Newport Beach, CA, seeks an Accounting Manager to join their team.
Compensation/Benefits – Salary of this role can increase up to $120,000/year depending on qualifications. Our client supplements base compensation with a bonus.Our client offers a 401(k) plan and the usual health, dental, vision, and short-term disability insurance plans.
ACCOUNTING MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the Controller to develop and implement new policies and procedures
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
- Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected financial position of properties
- Ensure that loan agreement requirements are met with financial, bookkeeping, and accounting requirements
- Assist property managers with analysis and interpretation of the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other reports
- Make recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures
- Approves accounts payable invoices, accounts receivable input forms, and vendor set-up forms
ACCOUNTING MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting
- CPA
- Minimum of 4 years accounting experience with related experience in commercial property management and development
- Must have a strong working knowledge of real estate (property management, transactions, and development), GAAP accounting and federal and state tax requirements
- Experience with Yardi, AvidXchange, and Excel
- Strong technical accounting skills with a thorough understand of GAAP
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
